Kami Rita breaks own record

Veteran Nepali mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa summited Mt. Everest for the 32nd time on Sunday morning, extending his world record. He reached the summit at 10:12 am during the Spring 2026 mountaineering season, leading an expedition operated by 14 Peaks Expedition. The Department of Tourism congratulated him on his achievement. Meanwhile, Lakpa Sherpa also summited Mt. Everest for the 11th time.
