Chinese climber first this spring to summit Everest and Lhotse; Kami Rita Sherpa sets new record

A climbing team, including Chinese national Shi Jungi, has become the first this spring season to summit both Mt. Everest and Lhotse in a single continuous ascent, employing a strategy of descending to Camp II after Everest's summit before ascending Lhotse. Concurrently, veteran Nepali climber Kami Rita Sherpa achieved his 32nd ascent of Mt. Everest, extending his own world record, while Lhakpa Sherpa reached the summit for the 11th time, setting a new record for female climbers.
