Ebola Outbreak in Congo Claims Over 100 Lives, 390 Suspected Cases

At least 100 people have died due to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with over 390 suspected infections. The Africa CDC head stated there is no approved medicine or vaccine for the current strain. The WHO has declared the outbreak an international emergency. The US CDC confirmed two infections and one death in neighboring Uganda and is arranging to transport an infected American doctor to Germany for treatment.
