The Progressive Democratic Party (PrLoPa) is facing a potential split due to ideological and theoretical differences, particularly concerning the 'Socialist Democracy' document presented by Chairman Santosh Pariyar. A faction led by patron Baburam Bhattarai has expressed dissatisfaction and boycotted meetings, leading the party to decide to bid farewell to Bhattarai. The Bhattarai group has rejected the party's circulars, citing procedural violations and ideological deviations, especially regarding Bhattarai's views on the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
