Hamas Military Chief Azedin al-Haddad Killed in Israeli Strike in Gaza

The Israeli army confirmed the death of Hamas armed wing chief Azedin al-Haddad in an Israeli attack in Gaza on Friday, stating he was the mastermind of the October 7, 2023 attack. Hamas also confirmed al-Haddad's death, reporting he was killed in an Israeli attack targeting a residential apartment and a civilian vehicle in Gaza City. Israel's Chief of Staff Lieutenant Colonel Eyal Zamir called the operation a "significant achievement" and stated the IDF will continue to pursue and hold accountable those involved in the October 7 massacre.
