Prakashchandra Nepal of Jhapa won the Open National Chess Tournament 2083 held in Diktel, Khotang. The tournament was jointly organized by Nepal Sports Academy and Nepal Karate Federation. Rahul Gurung from India's Sikkim was the first runner-up, and Thendup Tamang of Sikkim secured the third prize. Winners received cash prizes, trophies, medals, and letters of appreciation.
