Non-performing loans (NPLs) in Nepal's banking sector rose to 5.60% in the third quarter of fiscal year 2025/26, according to Nepal Rastra Bank. NIC Asia Bank reported the highest NPL ratio at 8.85%, while Nepal Investment Mega Bank led in loan loss provisioning. Several other commercial banks also reported significant NPL ratios and provisioning amounts.
