Ugandans lament Bundibugyo Ebola

Ugandans are lamenting the association of the district of Bundibugyo with a rare type of Ebola virus, which has infected hundreds in eastern Congo. The Bundibugyo virus, first identified in a 2007 outbreak in western Uganda, is less studied than other Ebola types. Ugandan government spokesman Alan Kasujja urged global health authorities to clarify that Uganda is not the epicenter of the latest outbreak, stating, "Bundibugyo is too beautiful to be the name of a disease."
