The Government of Nepal is establishing a specialized Infrastructure Tribunal to resolve disputes related to public contracts, land acquisition, and compensation, aiming to accelerate delayed development projects. The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs is drafting a bill for this dedicated judicial body, which is expected to adjudicate cases within three months. Key features include the 'Work Continue' principle, allowing projects to proceed during legal disputes, and a 'No Clearance, No Tender' policy to ensure all necessary approvals are obtained before procurement.
