Displaced families to get Rs 25,000 as resettlement support from govt

The government has decided to provide Rs 25,000 in resettlement support to families displaced from high-risk settlements along riverbanks in Kathmandu Valley. A cabinet meeting also approved temporary housing support for up to three months, with families receiving Rs 15,000 per month. Additionally, the cabinet decided to accept funds from the Swiss government for a municipal revenue enhancement project and from the Government of China for the maintenance of the Araniko Highway.
