Foreign Minister Discusses Stranded Body Issue

Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal stated that bringing the body of Santosh Rai, who died in Cambodia, to Nepal is problematic due to his illegal entry into Cambodia. Rai's wife, Junu Rai, had appealed for help as economic and legal issues prevented the body's repatriation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is facilitating the process, but the illegal nature of Rai's travel complicates matters, as government funds are typically available only for those with valid labor permits. The Nepali Embassy in Thailand, which oversees Cambodia, noted that preparations were underway to send Rai home before his death.
