Customs offices nationwide will suspend the clearance of commercial goods on Friday, the day the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 is presented. This measure is in place to adjust tax rates as announced by the Finance Minister in the Federal Parliament. Declarations registered by Thursday must be cleared by the end of the day, with new tax rates applying to any pending clearances. Customs clearance will resume on Saturday after confirming updates to the customs ASYCUDA system.
