Shadananda Municipality in Bhojpur district has established a seed bank to preserve and promote indigenous agricultural seeds, aiming to minimize threats to native crops. The initiative seeks to provide farmers with quality native seeds, revive endangered crop varieties, and protect agricultural biodiversity. The bank has collected and stored seeds of various local crops, conserving 115 species of 27 crop sorts, and offers seeds to farmers at a 50 percent subsidy, alongside training programs.
