Shadananda Municipality Establishes Seed Bank for Indigenous Crop Preservation

Shadananda Municipality in Bhojpur district has established a seed bank to preserve and promote indigenous agricultural seeds, aiming to protect native crop varieties from growing threats. Mayor Surendra Kumar Udas stated the initiative's objectives include providing farmers with quality local seeds, reviving endangered crop varieties, and safeguarding agricultural biodiversity. The bank has already conserved 115 species of 27 locally produced crops.
