Japan and UNDP continue to boost earthquake recovery in Western Nepal

The Embassy of Japan and the UNDP have handed over a newly constructed building to Nalgad Municipality in Jajarkot as part of a broader recovery effort following the November 2023 Earthquake. This is the first of ten buildings being built in Western Nepal to strengthen community infrastructure and improve service delivery, supported by the Government of Japan and in partnership with UN-Habitat. These facilities will replace damaged public buildings and house essential services like ward offices and immunization centers, also marking 70 years of diplomatic ties between Japan and Nepal.
