National Assembly passes govt’s policy and programs

The National Assembly passed the government’s policies and programs for the fiscal year 2026/27 with a majority vote on Thursday. Minister for Finance Dr Swarnim Wagle responded to lawmakers' questions before the proposal was presented by National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal. The CPN-UML abstained from voting, and the policies and programs were passed through a voice vote.
