Government Decides on Resettlement for Displaced Citizens

The government has decided to provide resettlement assistance to displaced citizens from areas where bulldozers were used in the Kathmandu Valley. Displaced families will receive 25,000 rupees for resettlement and a monthly house rent of 15,000 rupees for three months, with additional amounts for larger families. The empowered Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee is responsible for accounting and relief management, with the Kathmandu Metropolitan City assisting in food management. The committee has records of 2,608 landless families, with approximately one thousand individuals in holding centers.
