Acting Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Sunita Dangol, stated that Nepal's presence at the Cannes Film Festival was a proud moment, especially with the Nepali film ‘Elephant in the Fog’ winning the Jury Prize in the ‘Un Certain Regard’ category. She highlighted the film's reception and the opportunity to promote the KMC-organized film festival internationally. Dangol also invited the Mayor of Cannes to participate in the Kathmandu Film Festival.
