The Ministry of Education and Sports has urged students seeking higher education abroad to use only educational consultancies that have renewed their licenses for the fiscal year 2025/26. A list of 1,459 approved institutions has been published, and authorities are cracking down on unlicensed operations, financial fraud, and the use of forged documents. Legal action is being prepared against 32 individuals arrested during raids in the Kathmandu Valley, with a nationwide campaign planned to reform the sector.
