Nepal has stressed the need for collective international action to prevent disruptions in global energy and supply chains, which are impacting sustainable development. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal highlighted that the conflict in West Asia has affected Nepal, particularly the families of over two million Nepalis working in the region, through rising energy prices, declining remittances, and a tourism slowdown. He emphasized that small and least developed countries bear the heaviest burden of such crises and called for international support.
