Road Department Cancels Mahakali River Bridge Contract

The Department of Roads has canceled the contract for the construction of a four-lane concrete bridge over the Mahakali River with Kumar-CFEC JV due to non-performance and prolonged absence from the work site. The Directorate cited breaches of the agreement and issued a public notice on Jestha 1, 2081, stating the contract termination. The department will proceed with recovering damages and has directed the contractor to settle financial matters within seven days.
