Refund of deposits from troubled cooperatives begins

The government has begun returning money to small depositors of problematic cooperatives, with 378 individuals from three cooperatives receiving their savings on Monday. The process will continue in phases, categorizing depositors based on savings amounts, as approximately 76,000 depositors are owed around Rs. 46 billion. Minister Pratibha Rawal stated that loan recovery efforts are also underway, with debtors having repaid over Rs. 20 million.
