Many of Nepal’s national pride highway projects remain unfinished after more than a decade, with severe delays, escalating costs, and slow construction progress reported. The Mid-Hill Pushpalal Highway, Postal Highway, Kathmandu-Tarai-Madhes Fast Track, and the Koshi, Kaligandaki, and Karnali corridors are all significantly behind schedule and over budget. Despite being declared national pride projects, these highways face chronic delays and implementation bottlenecks.
