Deaths from Kenya school fire rise to 16

The death toll from an early morning fire at Utumishi Girls Academy in Gilgil, Nakuru County, Kenya, has risen to 16, with six more students succumbing to their injuries. Over 70 students remain hospitalized with varying degrees of injuries, most of whom are reported to be in stable condition. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
