2,200 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs. 2.03 Million Revenue Generated

In the last 24 hours, 2,200 drivers were penalized for traffic violations, generating Rs. 2,039,000 in revenue. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office reported actions against 168 drivers for drunk driving, 155 for illegal ride-sharing, 137 for signal violations, and 152 for speeding. Additionally, penalties were issued for lane discipline violations, honking in prohibited areas, sidewalk parking, driving on one-way streets, and other rule infractions.
