Sri Lanka introduces free tourist visa for Nepali nationals

The Government of Sri Lanka has introduced a free 30-day double-entry tourist visa (Electronic Travel Authorization – ETA) for Nepali nationals, effective May 25, 2026. Nepal is among 40 countries included in this initiative to promote tourism. Travelers are advised to obtain the ETA before arrival through the official website or the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kathmandu.
