Tourism Must Take Centre Stage

For decades, Nepali governments have prioritized tourism, implementing policies like an open aviation policy and campaigns such as 'Visit Nepal Year 1998'. Despite efforts, tourism growth has been hindered by political instability and external factors. With current political stability, Nepal aims to revive its tourism sector, planning 'Visit Nepal 2085' and 'Devbhumi Nepal' to attract international and spiritual tourists. The government is also focusing on improving airport operations, streamlining visa procedures, and promoting homestays to boost rural tourism, with a goal of attracting 3.5 million international tourists by 2032.
