Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, has called for an end to the wastage of excess electricity due to a lack of transmission lines. During an inspection of the National Transmission Grid Company Limited, he stressed that transmission infrastructure construction is a government priority and assured support for the company's effective performance. The CEO of the company stated their work towards developing Nepal’s hydropower sector and ensuring energy security.
