Hyatt Regency Kathmandu has secured a Rs 2 billion bank loan for reconstruction after suffering extensive damage during the Gen Z Movement. The total reconstruction cost is estimated at Rs 3 billion, with the remaining amount funded by retained earnings. The hotel, which sustained major damage in September 2025, aims to reopen by December 2026. Reconstruction is underway with 300-400 workers, and the hotel plans to increase its room inventory and add luxury villas.
