Deuba Couple Case: Supreme Court Cancels Arrest Warrant
The Supreme Court has cancelled the arrest warrant issued against former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife Arzu Rana Deuba in a money laundering-related investigation. The court also ordered authorities not to arrest the couple based on the cancelled warrant, citing legal and procedural issues, including the jurisdiction of the Kathmandu District Court after a new ordinance came into force. The ruling does not end the investigation, and the government can seek a fresh warrant through the Special Court.
