FNCCI urges transformative budget for FY 2083/84, warns of weak investment climate

The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has urged the government to present a transformative national budget for fiscal year 2083/84 to drive structural economic change and long-term growth. FNCCI submitted budget recommendations to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle, emphasizing the need for an overhaul of the current economic model to address structural challenges, revive business confidence, stimulate market demand, and attract investment. FNCCI President Anjan Shrestha warned that an economy dependent on remittances and imports cannot ensure long-term prosperity and criticized frequent changes in tax policy for undermining investor confidence.
