National Assembly approves two bills, to meet again on May 29

The National Assembly has unanimously approved proposals to consider the 'Election of Members of the House of Representatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2026' and the 'Voters’ Roll (First Amendment) Bill, 2026'. The bills were presented by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam. MPs participated in discussions on the principles of these bills. The next meeting of the National Assembly is scheduled for May 29.
