Nepal's cooperative sector has grown to 32,325 institutions by mid-March of fiscal year 2082/83, mobilizing savings of Rs 1.029 trillion and providing employment to 82,216 people. The Cooperative and Poverty Management Information System has enrolled 19,903 cooperatives. While 23 cooperatives were declared problematic, settlement procedures are underway for some, with claims totaling Rs 47.60 billion registered.
