Government Allocates NPR 1.53 Billion for Tribhuvan International Airport Upgrade

The government has allocated NPR 1.53 billion for the upgrade of Tribhuvan International Airport. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle stated that the modality for the construction of Nijgadh International Airport would be prepared within six months. Private sector collaboration will be sought for the operation of Gautam Buddha and Pokhara Regional International Airports, and night services at Bharatpur Airport were also announced.
