Members of the National Assembly's Committee on Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance emphasized the need for effective infrastructure development and budget execution. They highlighted issues such as construction quality, road safety, and timely payment for workers. The Ministry of Infrastructure Development outlined plans for urban infrastructure, local roads, and highway development, while also discussing the need for significant additional resources. Discussions also covered the Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee, the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority, and reconstruction programs. Road safety and landslide control were prioritized for the upcoming fiscal year, along with highway widening and maintenance. The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation aims to develop Nepal as an energy export hub, setting a target for electricity production and emphasizing transmission line expansion. Plans for integrated WASH programs, including clean drinking water and sanitation, were also presented.
