Lawmakers Urge Realistic, Action-Oriented Budget Addressing Marginalized Groups

Lawmakers urged the Finance Minister to present a realistic and action-oriented budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84, focusing on health, education, drinking water, infrastructure, and the upliftment of marginalized groups. Specific demands included making health insurance accessible, allocating credible funds for the Budhi Gandaki Hydropower Project, providing relief to businesses affected by past protests, resolving landless issues, and ensuring free higher education for Dalit students. Emphasis was also placed on religious and tourist road infrastructure, particularly the Ram Janaki Path and Parikrama Road.
