MP Savitri Malla Objects to Budget for Dailekh Petroleum Excavation Project

MP Savitri Malla has objected to the budget allocated for the Dailekh petroleum excavation project, deeming the 2 crore 29 lakh rupees insufficient to complete the work. She highlighted that expert reports indicate the presence of methane gas in Jaljale, Dailekh, with a potential 50-year supply. Malla criticized the meager budget as a mockery of the project and urged the ministry to withdraw it if adequate funding cannot be provided, emphasizing the project's status as a national pride initiative and Nepal's significant annual fuel import costs.
