Government unveils ambitious sports infrastructure roadmap with new stadiums and modernized venues

The Government of Nepal has announced a plan to modernize sports infrastructure, including upgrading ten football stadiums to 8,000-seat capacity and constructing modern cricket stadiums in eight major cities within five years. Additionally, 2,000-seat multipurpose indoor stadiums will be built in seven urban hubs. The government will also review designs and investment modalities for key cricket venues like Mulpani Cricket Stadium and Academy, Girija Prasad Koirala Cricket Stadium, and Fapla Cricket Ground.
