Reviving Phirke: A stream once full of life
Phirke Stream in Pokhara, once a vibrant water body, has been severely impacted by encroachment and pollution due to rapid urbanization. Pokhara Metropolitan City has launched a demolition campaign to remove illegal structures built along the stream banks, aiming to restore its natural form and implement the Phirke Corridor Project, which includes foot-trails and green belts.
