Illegal structures along Pokhara’s Firkekhola demolished

The Pokhara Metropolitan City Office has begun demolishing structures built on the banks of the Firkekhola stream. Approximately two dozen temporary and permanent structures were removed on Sunday across several wards. Mayor Dhanraj Acharya stated that this campaign aims to conserve, develop, and beautify the stream corridor and will expand to other areas of the city. The demolition follows a court decision that allowed the metropolis to proceed after a previous delay.
