Pokhara Removes 51 Structures in Firke Encroachment Drive

Pokhara has removed 51 structures in two days as part of a campaign to clear encroachments along the Firke riverbanks. The metropolis is using heavy machinery and deploying hundreds of personnel for the operation. Mayor Dhanraj Acharya stated the campaign aims to ensure the river's natural flow and develop the cleared area into a tourist destination with amenities like a cycle lane and footpath.
