Govt directs to stop new registration of public vehicles

The Department of Transport Management has directed a temporary suspension of new registrations for all types of public vehicles, including electric ones. This measure is being taken due to concerns about increasing air pollution, traffic congestion, and difficulties in movement, as allowed by the Motor Vehicles and Transport Management Act, 2049.
