Two women killed as storm topples tree

Two women, Ruju Jhankri (60) and Manbuji Jhankri (50), died in Rolpa when a large tree fell on them during a sudden storm on Monday evening. The incident occurred as they were returning home from Thawang Basic Hospital. Heavy rain and strong winds caused the tree to collapse, killing Ruju instantly and critically injuring Manbuji, who later died while being transported for treatment. Police are investigating the incident.
