Mountain guide dies at Everest Base Camp

Mountain guide Bijaya Ghimire (35) was found dead near anchors 2 and 3 on the fixed route towards Camp I via the Khumbu Icefall at Everest Base Camp. He was found unconscious and without a pulse. Sherpas from Sherpa Extreme Pvt. Ltd. discovered Ghimire and informed his company, Tag Nepal. A helicopter rescue was coordinated, and Ghimire's body was taken to Lukla.
