Yarsagumba collector killed in fatal cliff fall in Gorkha

A 25-year-old man, Prakash Gurung, died after falling from a cliff while collecting Yarsagumba in Chumnubri Rural Municipality, Gorkha. He was separated from his brothers while returning from the Buddha Himal area and his body was found in a glacier area. Risky accidents during Yarsagumba collection in high Himalayan regions continue to occur annually due to difficult terrain, unsafe trails, and adverse weather.
