Government to sell 34% shares in Nepal Telecom to public, funds target tech hub plan

The government plans to divest 34 percent of its shares in Nepal Telecom, allowing public ownership while retaining a 66 percent controlling stake. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle stated that proceeds from the share sale will be used to develop Nepal as a regional technology hub.
