The Shantinagar squatter settlement in Kathmandu has been largely emptied following an eviction drive, leaving behind remnants of dismantled homes. Lal Bahadur Limbu, a displaced resident, shared his story of hardship, including his struggle to support his family and care for his daughter Naima, who has arthrogryposis. The eviction, which residents claim had only three days' notice, has left many, including Lal Bahadur's family, without permanent shelter and facing an uncertain future.
