Changunarayan to become country’s first ‘Yoga Municipality’

The historic town of Changunarayan is set to become Nepal’s first officially declared “Yoga Municipality” during a three-day event from May 22–24. Mayor Jeevan Khatri announced preparations for a yoga science camp and the unveiling of a souvenir, after which the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province will make the official declaration. The municipality plans to integrate yoga into school curricula, establish yoga parks, and coordinate with Ayurveda practices.
