Limbu language enforced as official working language

Mangsebung rural municipality in Ilam has enforced the 'Limbu language' as an official working language from Tuesday, utilizing the rights granted to local levels as per the Constitution and the Local Government Operation Act. The decision was formally declared by Mangsebung Chairperson Hemant Rai in the presence of Province Chief Parshuram Khapung. Mangsebung, which has a majority of Limbu and Rai ethnic groups, had previously declared and enforced 'Limbu language' as a working language at ward No. 5 office since November 29, 2018.
