Sri Lanka introduces free tourist visa for Nepali nationals
The Government of Sri Lanka has introduced a free 30-day double-entry Tourist Visa (Electronic Travel Authorization – ETA) facility for nationals of 40 countries, including Nepal, effective May 25, 2026. Nepali nationals traveling for tourism are advised to obtain their ETA prior to arrival through the official website or the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu.
